What we do!

In addition to planning events to help bring our community together, we raise money to provide additional support for our kids and a more well-rounded education.

The Los Cerritos PTA funds:

 The Art and Garden Programs

• Monthly art lecture and lessons
• Improvement and maintenance of the garden
• Monthly classes at the garden that integrate with and supplement the current curriculum

Health and Safety

• Two days of a bilingual office assistant
• Supplies for Earthquake preparedness

Fifth Grade Enrichment

• Seating for fifth grade graduation
• Sponsorships for fifth grade Sacramento field trip
• 5th grade t shirts, yearbooks, extra field trip and class photo

Educational, School, and Staff Enrichment

• Transportation for field trips
• Campus-wide assemblies
• Teacher grants
• Monthly reading incentives through the Roadrunner reading program
• Quarterly faculty appreciation luncheons
• Movie licenses, which provides the ability for children to watch movies on rainy days during recess
• Newsela license 

School Improvements

• New shelving in Library
• 3rd-5th grade picnic tables
